Pontiac Aztec As A Tent

My Comments about Cordova's Teaching
Militza
In February 2011, I Took twenty hours of private English lessons from Ms. Cordova over to period of two and a half weeks to Improve my fluency in speaking English. I now want to share my thoughts about her teaching skills.

I, myself, am a language teacher by profession (English as a Second Language). I taught ESL, linguistics, and language teaching methods at Iowa State University for 21 years, so I am very much aware of the attributes a good language teacher should possess, and Ms.
Cordova possesses them all. She is very knowledgeable—she was always able to answer any questions I had very well. She prepares her lessons very well—her lessons were always very interesting and engaging. She corrects errors in a very appropriate manner—she was always gentle and brief in her corrections so that they did not interfere with my train of thought when I was speaking. She is very observant and provides very good feedback—she identified the most problematic areas in my pronunciation and grammar, which was very helpful to me in improving my English. And finally, though certainly not last in importance, she was always very supportive and encouraging. She believed in me and my ability to reach my goals, and with her encouragement and help, did!—I am speaking more fluently and with more confidence than I did at the outset. In my many years of studying English and other foreign languages, Ms Cordova ranks among the very best teachers I have had.
